Hello everyone! It's been a long six weeks for the Project M Back Room after the very successful release of Project M Demo v2, which received over 41 thousand downloads. We hope you've all been enjoying it! However, the release of Demo v2 wasn't completely perfect (as evidenced by the delay). As the weeks have gone on, you guys reported various issues that we hadn't encountered before releasing the demo into your hands. Most of these issues were unintended bugs, from R.O.B's Final Smash freezing the game to simpler things like always getting Mario on Random. Well, the PMBR is pleased to announce the release of Project M Demo v2.1! 2.1 brings tons of fixes to the bugs you reported. Keep in mind, not everything was fixed but most of the gameplay-affecting bugs were fixed (such as freezes). We tried our very best to address as many issues as were known since v2.0. We encourage everyone who downloaded Project M Demo v2 to download the update on our Downloads page and spread the word to everyone you know who downloaded Demo v2, especially anyone planning to have tournaments this weekend. Below you'll find the patch notes for this patch, which includes all changes from 2.0 to 2.1. Demo 2.1 Changelist -PMBR |

Is it okay to not replace the info.pac, info_training.pac, and mu_menumain.pac files? I'd rather not redo all my song titles if at all possible -_-

Good call, I totally forgot you could do that (haven't been using Brawlbox for very long yet). |

Thank you so much for adding Hyrule Temple! I like the stages changes in Project M but I did think it was getting a bit repetitive what with all the small flat stages with different platform placement. This will be a blast for my friends and I, both casually and more serious!

I was avodiing using Wario's Bite at all because I was afraid of triggering that freeze. Time to step up my game and incorporate this move now.

So is Ike's recovery not as mind-blowing anymore with the updated reverse-grab?

Will this patch overwrite custom music, CSPs, Battle Portraits, or textures (character or stage)?

It overwrites the songs that were previously in Demo 2. Plus the "Electroplankton song." It's all of the Demo 2 files over again, so anything interfering with that, yes. |

It's too bad about charizard's standing flame cancel on edges. It added something really cool to charizard that the PLAYERS came up with and not the developers... kind of like a huge majority of the AT's in melee. PMBR removing that would have been like Sakurai going in and removing mario's ability to walljump out of Up-b in melee. Although I guess it's a Demo... everything subject to change... doesn't mean it has to though. Same with the reverse ledge grabs. The boxes could have been smaller, but they allowed for new dimensions in edgeguarding, and some in recovering. Other than those, I feel I am going to like the new patch once it's finished downloading. |

Oh, and one more thing... Thank you!!!! I will download it now!!!! |
